Beth's Story
Life
Living in the Chicago suburbs, working as marketing director for a small company and a semi-pro photographer. Look for my stuff on Flickr and Schmap, the April 2008 issue of "Sports and Spokes", and (possibly, though I haven't seen yet) the opening credits of "Handicapped: A Documentary About Bad Golf". Check badgolfmovie dot com for the story.
Finally bought a house of my own, so I'm busy nights and weekends playing HGTV-Without-the-Big-Budget. Ahhhh, the Joys????? of Home Ownership. Most of the place is painted, new carpet's down, all that's left are the bathrooms.
Doc n' Ma left Watseka in 2004 to move closer to the family. Doc was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease shortly after moving up here. It's been a rough adjustment, but he has great doctors, so he's still crankin' away. With cousins nearby, Mom finally has her own garden again, and she's totally in her element. Wish I'd inherited her green thumb.

ly get-together. Steve's working retail and skiing as often as possible. Larry's splitting work time between the mountains and the East Coast, and spent most of September in Beijing, where he served as team leader for the US Paralympic table tennis team.
Oh, and I'm a workaholic... as though you couldn't have predicted that back in high school, huh? At least now, I get paid to be a geek. Back then, it was just something I hadn't quite figured out yet. Now, it's 50+ hours a week, but I don't get tired of it. After 15 years in the same place, I'm still not bored. Must be a good fit then, huh?
Have traveled some, mostly within the US. Lately I've just been enjoying the great city of Chicago and taking tons of photos. Didn't get a stamp in a passport yet. Heck, I don't even HAVE a passport yet. But I bought a house instead. It's a trade-off.
And I do have the best friends in the entire universe. All that practice - laughing, going to parties, and having fun - has gotten us through the tough stuff. I'm
"Auntie Beth" to Carrie's son and Micki's two daughters, and I love it. Ladies who dinner, I couldn't do it without you.
