Beth's Story

2008 A New Year! It's a new year. We both still work for the State of Florida, tasked with protecting the environment. I just bought a new car, sold my Harley. Roger still has his Harley, but after my accident last January, I just didn't enjoy it as much. My daughter will be 22 in 2 months. She is joining the U.S. Coast Guard and we are really proud of her. I'm looking forward to my next reunion. On our 20 year reunion, my husband had just been released from the hospital from a serious motorcycle accident, he's fine now, but I only was able to stay about 30 minutes, so I missed the fun. What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? - I have run 5 marathons - The type of job that I have (one day I'm crunching the numbers, the next day I'm operating a chain saw. at the TIKI Bar and he used to get me rum runners. Does anyone know what happened to him? What's the wildest thing you ever did in school? Nothing, I was invisible. What happened to my first crush? His name was Danny Hosek. He was a senior at North East when I was a freshman. I talk with him regularly. I saw him in June. He live in Pittsburgh, divorced and has two cool kids. He's still pretty cool. To be truly happy I would be with my husband, living somewhere like Tallahassee, still working for the State of Florida, my dogs would live forever and my daughter will be doing well in her career choice. If I had one "do over" I would have joined the military right out of high school. Although, that would have altered the entire course of my life and I don't know how it would have turned out. I wish everyone a happy and healthy new year. I look forward to hearing from some old friends. Peace
