Beth's Story
Life
After Avon I attended IUPUI and IVY Tech. I worked several years as an LPN at St. Vincent's. Still single, never married, one son, Tyler. Only person from school I've stayed in contact with is Jill Willoughby. After living in Speedway for 14 years, I was able to move back to Hendricks Co. I currently live slightly west of the town of Plainfield. I would love to hear from everyone!
School
As we all should know by now Avon was a very small limited town. Things sure have changed! My favorite teachers were: Mr. Archer (Math), Mrs. Smith (Homeroom) and Ms. Waggoner (Literature). Does anyone remember the name of the teacher we had our Senior year, that taught "ethics and values" and perhaps history? I went to my sister, Gail's son's graduation in May 2004 and saw the new high school. Pretty impressive! Like I said Avon sure has changed. Workplace
I worked at St. Vincent Hospital for a number of years as a LPN. Then I took a job traveling 100% for Health Examinetics, a co. based in San Diego, CA. I have worked for a company that would give health exams for insurance companies. I worked for awhile as a research asst. doing blind drug studies. After that I did home care for pediatrics. Next I changed gears and became a Family Support Worker. Then I did data entry and worked even as a florist. I worked for one year as a Support Specialist at Midtown CMHC. I then worked at IUPUI for I.U. School of Medicine as a research admin. Currently, I have retired from nursing and work part-time as a laundry-tanning attendant at Fabric Care Center.
