Bethanie's Story
Do you look in the mirror and think "43 years old, how can that be?" I do. I rarely feel that "old," except when I try to get up off the floor when playing with my seven year old daughter!
After high school, I graduated from the UW Eau Claire with a BA in Marketing. My career has always been in corporate marketing and public relations; although I recently lost my job due to this stinking economy (Vote Obama/Biden).
I'm definitely not cut out for the at home Mom life. It's too laid back for me. I recently have taken on two part-time jobs that I love- on-call substitute teaching at my daughter's elemen...Expand for more
tary school; and, I'm editor of the Bonita Journal, a community , monthly newspaper serving Bonita Springs, FL.
I moved to SW Florida in 1990 after meeting my soul-mate and now husband on vacation. It's a great place with lots of sun and great people, but I could do without the hurricanes! I do not, however, miss winter. I miss my family and friends I've kept in touch with (and lost touch with), and I do get homesick when Fall arrives and at Christmas, but we get back once a year or more.
I've found it's the little things that make life sweet. Basically life is good...my family is healthy and happy.
