Life
OK... remember when I was at my most obnoxious in high school (if you remember me at all)? Yeah... I'm like that all the time now, except when I'm not. Then I'm reading a book or watching a movie.
Since our last reunion - you remember, I'd just had brain surgery - I 1) got married 2) had a career writing about movies and entertainment at several Boulder newspapers 3) heard my biological clock ticking 4) quit the rat race 5) had a baby 6) moved BACK to the mountains.
I now live in Coal Creek Canyon (yee haw!) with my wonderful husband, my little diva-of-a-daughter, 3 cats and the neighborhood deer, fox and racoon who visit at twilight. I spend my days chasing after my daughter, hauling wood, coming up with kooky ideas to make money online, and trying to get pregnant one last time.
I enjoy reading, movies, dining/drinking/going out with friends, shopping and just enjoying life. My favorite local band is DeVotchKa, national: Rasputina. I love weird movies, res...Expand for more
earching sideshow freaks and serial killers, and reading Jane Austinesque revisionist books and fashion magazines. I spend a lot of time NOT writing the great American novel (dang it!).
And I'm a Witch.

School
I was madly in love with Hardy Lussier... what can I say, I was a sucker for eyeliner and chest hair.
Though I most umm... admired... Mr. Waryan... Mr. Knight inspired me the most. I remember when he started telling us we had to write not one but two TWO! essays in an hour. I thought it was impossible but I did it anyway. He really challenged me.
If I could do it again - with the looks/body I had back then, and the mind/experience/self-esteem I have now - hell yea! I'd get some good acne medication, get a better haircut, fully embrace being a goth/freak/whatever-I-was-at-the-time, quit worrying whether people liked me. I had no idea that if I'd just gotten out there and joined in the fun, I would've had more fun.
