I am retired now with alot of time on my hands.I have raise two girls and have 4 grandchildren.I'm single and live in East Texas now.I would love to find some of my old class mates, refresh the fun we use to have, find out what happen to everyone. And yes I did finish high school.
I would enjoy finding more people I went to school with or live in the same naborhood,or hung out at the pool and reck. center. Can anyone remember when the new shopping center open up on the coner of Park Row and New York. To GET THIS PROJECT ROLLING THE SMALL BANK across the street throw out an huge amount of silver dollards in the field and we were able to keep what we found in hopes to start a savings account? If you were one of the lucky ones, did you take the money and open an account or did you spend it? I found only one and spent it at Pages Drug store.Rember Pals Drive In and all those monkeys we receave for the soft drinks we drank. It was a contest to see who had the most monkeys hanging around. Remember the big slide in the new shopping centre next to D.Q.s. The young and old all enjoy i...Expand for more
t.Do you remember we are the ones that made Six Flages Over Texas a big success. The cave was where alot of kids receave that first kiss. Then there was Zeals for the first creadt history, after the ring you pick out. remember when 360,was a 2 lane,303 ended at New YORK and there was a old school there in the middle of a cotton field. How many went with there parents to pick corn and green beans south of 303.Remembor Lake Arlington and Feather Beach. We had a place next to Feather Beach, mom love to have the kids out,it didnt matter how old you were or what school you went to all was welcome. She made sure the Arlington Police knew it was her place and they were not welcome unless they could behave and leave the kids alone LOL.She was known as Momma Rene do you remember her, most of the time she was on your side, and if not she would let you know. She never forgot you and the things you did.Well that is enough of the 50s and 60s,you know we made history in Arlington Texas and had fun doing it. Hope to hear from you,and some of the things you can remember. Betty Acree, sister of Jimmy,Frank,Jerry Acree
