Beverly's Story
My husband, Paul, myself and 2 dogs and 2 cats moved to England May 2012. We moved back to where Paul is from in Nottingham.
I love living in England. It is so beautiful here and I love the pubs. A little different than the states...for example, driving on the opposite side of the road, pound instead of a dollar, can buy liquor on Sundays, 4 pack of beer, instead of 6, 10 or 20 pack of cigarettes, most people hang dry laundry on a clothes line, including me, no tax on most goods, no tipping in pubs, etc. The list could go on forever but really it's not much different than home either...Expand for more

I work at a college for physically and mentally handicapped students and love it. I assess students to see if they will be coming to our college for education, job placement and support.
For you that are wondering where Nottingham is in England-we are right in the middle and we are considered Robin Hood country. I live in a small town but you can drive 10 minutes and be totally out in the country with the small lanes and wonderful landscapes.
Planning on living here the rest of my life. Maybe someday I will come back to Indiana to visit. I guess that needs to be on my bucket list,
