Beverly's Story
I am a proud grandmother. My grandson Evan is 3 years old and so adorable. I also have another grandchild on the way. She is due in June. They are naming her SunniRae. I love being a granma.
I also love animals. I've adopted a dog from the animal shelter a few months ago. He is part German Shepherd and I think part Lab. His name is Buddy. I was sitting on my front porch one afternoon and I put my arm around him and said "You're my buddy" you know, in one of those cute sounding ways. hence the name "Buddy".
I have quite a few hobbies. I love to scrapbook. I've made about 10 albums. I got burned out on that so then I tried painting. I have a few paintings. I never knew I was able to paint. I also enjoy making earrings. I love the internet too. I like doing research on stuff. For example, if I just watched a movie that I was very interested in, I will get on the internet and research it. I love watching old reruns of sitcoms like George Lopez and Roseanne. I also love HGTV. I love seeing how those guys turn a room into a masterpiece. My favorite is Da...Expand for more

I don't work right now. I used to work at the Opryland Hotel for 2 years. I was laid off the other day along with 150 other people. The economy has hit home for me. Before the hotel, I lived in Alaska for 3 years. I miss Alaska. It is such a beautiful place. I just couldn't handle the dark and cold. I worked at Opryland Hotel 7 years before I moved to Alaska. So being laid off from the hotel really broke my heart. I will enjoy my time off for a while but I got to get back on the horse. I might take a class and get a career going later. I just never knew what I wanted to do with my life, so I have just been earning money to get by. Never had a career. I never realized how important it makes you feel about yourself to have a title of some kind. I hold nothing against waitressing, my mother was a waitress for more than 40 years. It was just not my thing. I took a class in Audio/Visual at Davidson Tech. Maybe I should try to pursue that again. Life hands you so many changes, like chapters in a book. Life is a paperback novel.
