Beverly's Story
I am old, ugly, broken and fat but deliriously happy. I just turned 66 and with that basal cell carcinoma came and swiftly left the side of my nose. I never married but was finally able to graduate from Franklin Pierce College in Concord, NH with a dual major of accounting and computer science at the ripe old age of 40, which I consider then and now to be a more satisfying achievement. For most of my life I was an accountant now I am happily retired and have a small pet sitting business. I did give birth to one son, whom I gave away for adoption. It turned out he was raised in Belmont, MA and knew my aunt and her kids very well. Several years ago John, my son, contacted me via FaceBook and now we are in touch multiple times a day. personality and looks. I would never have been able to meet my 6'7" son if I hadn't been selected to be profiled on National Geographic's TV series "Phobia" to conquer my horrific fear of flying. You see, John also has a fear of flying and absolutely will not get on an airplane and he and his family live across the country near Seattle, WA. So If I hadn't had my 15 minutes of TV fame we may not have been able to meet in person. The other great joy in my life is my partner in love, George. I met him when he answered my ad on Craig's List. Yes, I know, I know, the CL murderer and all that but I am smart and careful (not that those 2 qualities guarantee safety) so it worked and he has been the love of my life for the last 4 years or so. We have an active and adventurous life together.
