Beverly's Story
I do not know why anyone would want to know what I have been up to since High School but I have had a few requests and I am flattered.
I have had a great life -- I have had some terrible heartache offset by lots of joy. I married my brother's BFF, Dick Solis (from Montebello's class of '63) about 50 years ago (OMG that's a long time!!) and I am pretty sure that he has had a great adventure like I have. We have raised 3 boys and a neighbor kid and as a result I love spending time with my Sisters (Barbara & Karen) and all my Nieces just to have girl time. I have 14 Grandkids and I love playing with them and sending them home.
I went to College with thoughts of becoming a Medical Doctor or at least a NP or PA but quit to help with putting all those boys through school. I accidently ended up in the Mortgage Banking field and have worked for various...Expand for more
banks & mortgage companies since. I started back working in 1983. I was only going to work until I the kids educated and I could get back to school to follow my dreams. Well it's 31 years later and I do not know where the years went. I retired March 2014 with tears in my eyes but the knowledge that I needed some "Me" and "Couple" time before my time here on earth is done. I certainly do not feel 75 years old. Not a day over 42, just as long as I do not look in the mirror.
Since retirement I have never looked back. I do not miss the work or the stress (although I do miss the brain stimulation). I have accomplished many items on my Bucket List and I have many things left to do.
I treasure my family and old and new friends. I thank everyone that has touched my life in any way as you have helped to make my whole life an "E" ticket ride. Bev
