The time seems so short . 2 weeks after high school I went into the Air Force, I didn't get the job I signed up for but I didn't want to quit so I became a cook and did that for 4 yrs. Atleast I got to see a little bit of the world. When My tour was up, I went to Texas to work for a short time . I moved back to MI to go to work at GM but they started laying people off in 1980 just before I could get hired in. I ended up working for Kinney Shoes at the Pontiac Mall (then), and at the one next to K-Marts in Lake Orion for awhile. I moved up to the flint area the end of 1980 to work at the Kinney shoes in the Genesee Valley Mall. I worked there until I finished my Management Training and I met my first wife there at the mall.
