Bill's Story

Life Susan and I live in Paducah, KY. We currently are parents to 3 dogs and 4 cats (Putter, Bella, & Lilly and Tucker, Daisy, Lizzy, & Ripa). I am VP of News & Operations at WPSD-TV. Susan is the marketing and PR director for a regional hospice group. I play too much golf, but also enjoy backpacking and day hikes. I am currently section hiking the River to River Trail across southern Illinois. Recent outings have also included section hikes of the Appalachian Trail and the Ozark Highlands Trail in northern Arkansas. The "now" picture is from an April trip to Las Vegas (Mary Jane Falls). Susan is NOT a fan of the outdoors (her trail name is Ritz Carlton--not that she's ever been on a trail). She has met me on the trail and fixed a gourmet dinner. Cooking is her passion. She has almost 500 cookbooks and I have sampled something from many of them. I volunteer at the local Boys & Girls Club, where I am also past President and a current board member. ppointed by the Mayor of Paducah to sit on the municipal golf course Board of Directors. I have returned to school to complete my Master Degree. I am just 9 hours away from graduating. I will teach a college television production class in the Fall of 2007. I am a history buff, so my Master project is a written history of the television station I manage. We celebrate its 50th anniversary in May 2007. No comprehensive written record of the station exists, I hope to have it published in 2008. I deleviered a portion of it to a college history symposium last year. I have not kept up with many of my HS classmates. I call Reed Bethel occaisionally. I keep up with my friends from Arkansas State almost weekly. We get together each year at homecoming. I missed our 20th HS reunion because of surgery. I had a tumor removed from my spine near the base of my skull. It took two years to recover--I had to learn to walk again. I look forward to catching up at our 30th in 2007.
