Bill's Story
Life
After High school
I moved to Maui and worked there as a concrete boom pump operator, warehouse worker for a soda manufacturer, and La Famillia restraunt. Moved back to California in '79 did some construction work for a year or so then moved to Lodi. I Married and had two children Francin and Ben in 1980 and 81, Divorced in '86. worked at a large volume cabinet mfg. company for the next 4 years. Decided to get with the computer age and in 1983 I attended The Sawyer Business college and learned Computer programming and Financial accounting. Shortly after I had a friend tell me I could work as a Honda Mechanic at Lodi Honda. I always worked on my own cars but never concidered myself a Technician. honed my woodworking and organizing skills. The Accounting and computer skills came in handy when we started to use a good CAD Cabinet Vision software to design orders the state of the art ways. This put me close to the phones and customers where I learned Sales and Purchasing. Long days not enough home time. I was tired of working 6 days a week at 10 to 12hrs a day and talked to a man that builds Custom High End Masterpieces of most are one of a kind. This I fond very enjoyable and challenging, not to mention only a 4 day work week. Some time later a friend asked me to help with estimating and remodel work for a couple of investors. Later worked with one of the investors developing 5 acre customs around the Burson area. More current in the greater Sacramento area as Handyman tech. My next dream would be to be Sailing as a the ships carpenter and Travel.
