Brought up in Detroit, MI. Lived on Coplin, corner of Linville. Went to St. John Berchman Elementary,
one year, 9th grade, at Jackson Jr. High '51/'52 then Denby High School '52 / '55
Marine Corps '56 / 60, Boot Camp San Diego, Camp Pendleton,
29 Palms - Heavy Artillery 155 Sel Propelled Gun Battery.
then to hell, prefer to only say Semper Fi & yes I did my duty, came home to Detroit.
Played football, ran track and was on base golf team at 29 Palms
Played semi pro hockey in Detroit 2 yrs before leaving for LA with Mike Teodecki 1962.
Lived in Veniceand 8 other places in LA, then Santa Monica, super Malibu '68 / '70 then
up to San Mateo Bay area in Aug 1970.
Married Lynda, Japanese beauty from UCLA, '64 divorced '73
College (honest, me of all people) Santa Monica College, member of the Veteran's Club, '66 / '68 -

SanFrancisco State MS Rec Admin, '70 / '72 -

First Fed Gov job (other than the USMC in '56), El Centro Naval Air Base '72, 3 months.
Then to Oakland Army Base and Fort Mason, San Fran, promotion, '72 / '75
Camp Darby, Italy, promotion, near Pisa, '75 / '76
Kaiserslautern, Germany, promotion, '76 / 78
Married German beauty Petra, pediatric nurse, 20 yrs younger (LOL) '77 / '89 two children
Natalie born in Landstuhl, duel citizenship, '78 (Ben was later)
Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, '78 / '79, bought sold 1st new home.
Amberg, Germany Tank Base, promotion, '79 / '81
Munich one of the best cities in the world, promotion, '81 / '83
Camp Zama, Japan south of Tokyo, promotion, '83 / '87
Benjamin adopted, 5 days old Sep '87
Sierra Army Depot, between Susanville, CA where we lived 2nd new home, and Reno, NV, '87 / '89
Retired '89 & soon divorced, Petra & kids to Germany - oh well, can't win all the time
Sold house '91 on to Phoenix where parents retired, departed '95 when Natalie returned for
high school in Arcata, CA (left Phoenix as no way would stay with her and the crime in Phoenix),
Ben returned one year later and went into 7th grade at St. Marys in '96, wanted to be w/me & Natalie,
lived there '95 / 2000
McKinleyville, CA new 1/2 acre and home, 2000 / to present '13, only 2 miles to Pacific beach area
Kids: Natalie owns business training and hoof care for horses, Top Trail Rider...Expand for more

I have had an interesting and good life with 2 great kids.
Raced motorcycles in LA briefly and partied until marriage Feb '64
I've lived in 4 other countries, visited 29 so far, planning on Buenos Aries Fall '14 or possibly a "round about" of the U S from Calif to Gulf states, up east coast into Canada and back along northern border to home, approx 3/4 months.
Cancer '08 beat it as of this year, 5 yrs for final exam LOL again
Present interests for quite a while: travel, tournament chess player, published poet, some past news
paper writing, good food and very little drink, quit the hard stuff over 25 yrs ago, that is one reason
I am still healthy at 76, now married to Chinese beauty Mary from Chengdu, China, 20 years younger than I.
You may notice I use the word beauty to describe my wives for one main reason, I have always gone for intelligent and good looking ladies, nothing less.
Mike Teodecki (also Denby) lives approximately 40 miles east in the mountains near Willow Creek, CA. Lived in LA then retired to Willow Creek. He's a "legal grower". Friends since 9/52 at Denby, he cares less about computers. Here we both are 60 years later
El Radke also friend from Denby, married with one son, my Godson Andy, LT. Col Air Force.
Lived in LA, Bay Area, Sacramento, Florida Panhandle where a drunk driver
ran him over. Wife Joyce back in Sacramento
Additional Notes: I lived in LA, then Santa Monica and Malibu while in college. Have skied various
US areas, Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy & Japan.
PT ski inst while in college. SCUBA dived in Cal, off Catalina Isl and Mexico and Italy.
Swam in The Red Sea while on Temporary gov duty in Saudi Arabia and have climbed to
the top of Mt Fuji san w/my Godson Andy, Aug '85
I am not into organized religion, I am a philosophical Buddhist.
My basic hobbies are chess including tournaments, world travel, writing poetry and I have
been published and taught poetry writing, I have done some painting.
Anyway here I be people and I am old but healthy and happy, feel free to contact here, on facebook
