Bill's Story
Life
I've been retired for some years now from the field of clinical psychology. Most of those years were spent as the director of multi-county community mental health centers in Kentucky, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. With my wife Jerry, who is from Bristol, Virginia, we came back to retire in Bristol. We have 2 sons, ages 35 and 31, and one granddaughter and three grandsons, all of them living in Arka...Expand for more
nsas. It's really true, as they say -- grandchildren are God's gift for putting up with teenagers!
What has been the biggest surprise to me about myself is that, while I absolutely depised poetry in both high school and college, I now routinely write poetry, and have published about a dozen poems, as well as published four humorous pieces of fiction.
Update: Bill Ivey passed away in August of 2011.
