Robin's Story
Life
After graduating from Lowell I went to Fullerton College and then transferred to Cal State Los Angeles. I got my B.S. in Biochemistry and then worked a bit to pay off my debts. The Peace Corps had long been a dream of mine, so I joined and went to Lesotho in Southern Africa for 2 years. Although I had hoped to work in water chemistry there, the need was for teachers and so I became a science teacher. it. When I returned to the states, I taught at El Sereno Junior H.S. for 3yrs, then Belmont H.S. for 6yrs. But after the birth of my second son, I found that I needed to get away from the long days and A.P. classes. I moved to a school for pregnant minors where I have taught all the math and science for my site for the past 15yrs. I find the work very rewarding at many levels. So that is where I am. I live in West Covina with my husband and two sons (16 and 18yrs old.)
