Billy's Story
Life
I was born in Lockney,TX and raised in Floydada,TX. Parents are Langston and Lou Williams, Brothers are Langston, Louis, Alvertis, John (Tip), F.L. (Superfly or Fly) and Don L. Sisters are Linda Jean and Nannie Faye Mitchell. Played baseball for Bill Hale and Don Green. Was a catcher and outfielder. Was schooled at Nortward and Della Plains. When the schools intergrated I attended Floydada High for 4 years graduating in 1970. Worked around Floydada for 4 years in and out of trouble and school. Worked at the Caprock Hospital, and Russell Farm Equipment before joining the Army in 1974. I married Barbara Hawkins in 1975. We had 3 sons and have two grandsons. Wayne-31, Jeremy-24, Marcus-24. ne graduated and have good jobs. I have two wonderful bad grandsons, Alex is 4 and Brandon is 5. They act more like brothers than cousins. I enjoy just sitting and watching them play. They remind me so much of me and Langston Jr. We are having our 30th (2005) anniversary this year. I retired from the Army after 22 years of service in 1996. After retirement I attended Cameron University and graduated in 2001 with a BS in Multimedia/ Instructional Design. I developed software for a year then open my own Insurance agency with Farmers Insurance and we are doing fine in the business. I am a member of the Internation Lions CLub, President of Red RIver Country Soccer Association. A member of the Oklahoma Soccer Association. I have my own Insurance Agency with Farmers Insurance and I Love it.
