Birdie's Story
I've been living at home taking care of my mother for many years. We have around-the-clock nurses so I still have a life outside of my home. But I love my mom and enjoy caring for her. Everyone needs a break and I need mine. So I do go out and have fun while the nurses are there.
I write poetry. Have been for a long time. It's my favorite hobby. I also make baskets and collect stamps/duck prints. I've kind of lost interest in my coin collection. I have too many other things going on with taking care of mom and writing.

I love music and I still go out dancing. I will never get too old to do that. I ATTEMPT to play the piano!
I have a cat I love dearly. He has lots of personality. Sometimes he has too much and that is why he is on Prozac. Honestly. I spoil him rotten. I even have his nails done and take him to the hairdresser's. On a healthier note, I do take him to the dentist and for regular checkups. That cat is probably healthier and better kept up than I am.
I love to go to the lake house. I love boating, fishing and swimming.
Life is good. I am happy, happy, happy!! I am blessed.
