Bob (Rawbert) Seeley:  

Turned 52 on Halloween! I am still having the best day ever...EVERY DAY! After high school I moved to Kansas City, MO to attend the Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI) for one year, where I realized that my passions for drawing and film-making could both be realized by pursuing a career in Animation. In 1978, I moved to Southern California to attend the Walt Disney founded, California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and studied animation under Disney Veterans along with John Lasseter, Tim Burton, Joe Ranft, Gary Trousdale, Rob Minkoff, Peter Chung, John Van Vliet, and countless other amazing talents. Each of them, and many other classmates have gone on to create some of the finest, most expertly crafted, animated films ever. They continue to influence and change the art of animation. I cannot say enough about the CalArts alumni. After CalArts I worked for 8 years animating commercials in Santa Monica CA, at Duck Soup Produckions, where I won 2 Clio awards for commercials that I either directed or animated. I spent 23 wonderful years doing animation in Los Angeles. In 1991, Warner Bros. released "Rover Dangerfield" which I co-directed with Jim George. We worked with executive producer, Rodney Dangerfield and a staff of over 600 talented artists, for 2 years to complete the feature film. From 1991-94 I also had the opportunity to work on an animated version of Dr. Seuss's, "Oh, the Places You'll Go!". The executive producers on that project were, Roland Joffe, (Academy award winning director of "The Killing Fields") and the amazing Theodore (Dr. Seuss) Geisel.
