bob's Story

As we all journey our paths through life . We are always learning . The path I have been on is one with German Shepsrds . Siix have been companions along the way. They were ' velco'd ' to my side , each different and individual Lessons they taught me were priceless . The unquestioning love , loyalty , conversations . Given the chance to be as an equal , they elected their ' task ' to care for , look over me . protect . and perform as Service K-9's to me . Our time spent together seems like a lifetime . All happy moments . Simple soft words to teach them . Their response in eye contact and body language . Suddenly time slows and becomes evident that their path is headed in another direction . So often people just take the ''dog '' to be put down . ( Have you ever really held the one you that shares a mutual ''love '' as the needle is inserted and the plunger forces the POISON into their veins , looked into their eyes as they fee it coursing through their body and asking you WHY ? ) . Are they not a family member ? And are you not a pack member to them ? Currently cancer is slowly working through one of my two service K-9's . She is the second to contract cancer . There is an Emotional Bond and they have many questions they wish answered . This girl will receive the same Primary Care the previous girl received . It is 24 hour dedication to care and nurture her . A challenge to plan and create meals multiple times a day . ( Talk about finicky and selective fussy eaters ) , additional walks at all hours . Demands for you to go out in the middle of the evening to just sit and listen , reminisce , and hear the longings to do things you shared just a few months past , You awaken in the night to hear voices you can not understand , and oddly know arrangements are being discussed with that puppy in preparations for for that new adventure approaching ! A page turns yet again . 15/03 , Time passages , Life glides flowing in yet undetermined destinations to vanish just over the horizon at the predetermined moment . Before that instant one should have caught up with the ladies with the eyes so deep that captured the soul . To Kiss the ones you were to naive at that time past . To say '' I kissed you first '' if you chance to greet them today . To apologize for the hurt and pain you may have inflicted so long past . Only these can seem unimp...Expand for more
ortant to do now , yet it lifts the hearts , soul , relieving the un-noticed burden you have borne so long . Now having found my blood siblings a new journey starts . Perhaps later than it should have but to explore my birth roots is to venture another highway ! Seeing photos of my parents is to see myself in a different view and angle of perception . My quirks are my lineage . Continuing finding the pathways of my Ancestors , I have several 5Ggrandfathers that married Native girls and became Chiefs of the Cherokee and a Chief of the Creek Nations . These boys fought on different sides during The Revolutionary War . Many of family boys married native girls down through generations . Many of the girls were Maine Natives . . All the girls are full native and from over 6 Tribal Nations . This should give me my Roll Numbers . It raises the possible Reparations from Spain for imprisoning a Chief and his death at there hands in prison in Cuba . The Creek Nation had their own Navy ( not canoes ! ) . I have not posted for a while . Here is a new post . Today I took my wife to the Traveling Wall That Heals , Vietnam Wall . We talked with people there , watch the emotional reaction of them finding their loved one's name ! My wife suffers from 2nd generation side effects of Agent Orange as do her sons and their children . She talked and learned how we can have her Dad's name added to the Agent Orange digital wall . Though I missed Vietnam I shared what growing up watching and listening to reports every evening , How my class worked to have a teacher undrafted and returned to teaching . I was talking earlier today with a couple Bikers asking if they were going . They had not heard it was here , they decided it was their next stop ! To witness this Memorial does not seem like a huge event , yet suddenly it takes over and its impact of displays is heart wrenching . While we were there many stories were shared . Oh , My service dog passed away Jan 2022 , her sister also my service dog passed May this year , both passed in my arms . My wife posted to facebook a short video tribute for them '' HOW DO I SAY GOOD BYE '' My sister passed away when the power went out December 23 2022. I was fortunate to have found her and talked to her for three months . I now am the Elder of the family . We have found Native Genealogy back to the 1500's
