Bob's Story
Took Cabinet making, in my last year and a half I worked Co-Op at Kitchen Products Co. WOW I loved that deal, only two weeks of school every month.
Bought a 1941 Ford and drove to school, made the teachers mad when I got to the small parking lot before them, and was told I should not drive to school, to take the street car, or walk, I told the teacher, to just get up earlier and show up at school sooner.
I happened to see the swimming pool in the early morning, before anyone was in it, saw to much stuff floating on the water, I never went into that pool again.
Now the Gym class was very different, a few of us would set on the hill side smoke and, and watch the trains moving in and out of the Penn station downtown. I think I was at 3 gym cla...Expand for more
sses in 4 years, always got a C grade. Most remembered gym class was when the coach had a hygiene (sex) subject, one kid asked how do you put a rubber on, it took the total glass time up before we all stopped laughing.
Does anyone remember walking through the tunnel under Baum Boulevard on the way to Connelley, boy did that thing even stink, one morning I had to stop walking, due to a women reliving herself in the middle of the tunnel.
Another way I took was the big old truck incline up to the hill, near the 16th street bridge, and then walk down the hill to Connelley, taking in all the sights, I learned more on that walk than I did that day at school. I got so many memories about my 4 years at Connelley, however itâÂÂs my nap time, bye.
