Bob's Story

I have followed many paths through this life, after graduation I joined the Air Force, and thought of making it a career, but Vietnam ruined my plans. I returned as a hostile Vet in 68. Since then I have worked law enforcement, environmental health, retail sales, and managed truck stops. I retired from Delta Airlines in 1994, played professional pool until 2000, and decided to buy this farm close to Pioneer, Missouri. This is what I have been looking for all my life. I love taking care of all the animals, enjoy riding horses, and listening to the coyotes and foxes late at night. I have developed AMD (macular degeneration) and do not like the idea of having to give up the farm, sometime in the future. I do have a daughter that will "take it over" if my eye sight gets too bad, possibly I will be able to remain on the farm until my demise. I have been lucky, working all these jobs, I have traveled all over the world.... some of the places being ; Biloxi, Ms Seoul, Korea Amarillo, Tx Selma, Al Bangkok, Thailand Miami, Fl Yuba City, Ca Chicago, Il Atlanta, Ga Dallas, Tx Denver, Co Alaska and Hawaii. I thank God I have been so fortunate. I have remained friends and stayed in contact with many of my classmates, just wish there had been more. School Had many happy years at all the schools I attended, made life long friends even if I was somewhat of a rebel. I would change that part if I could. I attended many schools (my dad was a wanderer) Kimble, Mo (Crow school), Li...Expand for more
cking, Mo, Kansas City, Tulsa, Ok. Pershing, Franklin, Woodrow Wilson, and Bell. In Muskogee, Alice Robertson, and Central. I was in Muskogee longer than any other place, and thats why I call it home. Not to slight any of my friends away from Muskogee, but you guys at AR and CHS really made me feel at home. Being the "new kid" at so many schools, made me rather "stand offish" and maybe considered as a "loner", but acceptance by you was really great. Thank you AR and CHS Workplace Delta Airlines Ohare - Cargo Midway - Opened MDW 1970 Atlanta - Load Planner Dallas - Opened DFW 1976 Tulsa - Opened 1977 Atlanta - Several jobs Bangkok- Opened 1989 Atlanta - International Military Amarillo - Base Operations Craig AFB - Base Operations Don Muang RTAFB - Secure Radio Homestead AFB - Plt Training Operations Ubon RTAFB - 8th TFW Wing Operations Beale AFB - Base Operations and Wing command post. I always wanted to be a Pilot when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were right If I won $100 million, I'd give most of it to kids and charity, then spend the rest on unfortunate people, St Judes and the church. My current age is 71. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be geezers. I was so completely RIGHT. I attained all of my aspirations, and am content. My best friend would tell you I'm "smooth", but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as intellectual. Its all bib overalls and carhart jackets now.
