Bob's Story
Life
After attending FMHS I joined the Air Force in 65. I was stationed in Ill,then Panama City, Fl, Homestead AFB in Miami and then on to Takhli AB in Thailand. While in the Air Force I took advantage of it by taking classes primarily in the electronics field. Upon leaving the Air Force, I moved to Sarasota and went to work for Dictaphone Corp. I worked there 11 years moving to Orlando and then Tampa. While in Orlando I was service manager and worked with a new guy sent in from New York. He ultimately left the company and convinced me to move back to Orlando in 1979 to work with him. Our company sells and services phone systems and is now celebrating 28 years in business.
I was married for 11 years and had 1 daughter from that marriag...Expand for more
e. Eventually I married again and we have been together 20 years. My daughter graduated from the University of Central Florida and teaches first grade. My stepson works for our company.
We currently have a beautiful home in Orlando, have just purchased a vacation house in North Carolina and have lots of toys.
I totally appreciate everything we have and firmly believe my difficult early life inspired me to achieve beyond my wildest dreams. I can relate to and really love to help people that are down on their luck through no fault of their own.
Anyone remember Route 66 being filmed in Ft Myers? Well, I skipped school to watch the filming and still remember dreaming of having a Corvette. It took a few years but I now have a 1964 and 2003.
