Bob's Story
Life
Anne and I have lived in St Augustine Florida since 2000. We spent 33 years in Virginia. First landing there in the Air Force at Langley AFB in 1967. After leaving the Air Force in 1971 we settled in Manassas Virginia. We are now the grandparents of 3 girls, Tori, Taylor, & Trinyte. Our 4th is on the way (due Sept 2007). Our son (Rob) and his wife (Jen) live at Jacksonville Beach with their frou girls. He owns a mortgage company in Jacksonville Beach. I retired from Nationwide Financial Services in 1999. Anne and I moved to St Augustine Florida in 2000 where I began a financial planning practice. We love the old city, the water, the beach, and the weather. College
After 30 years, I went back to finish my degree. My major was Business Administration with a Minor in Financial Planning. Finally graduated June 29th 1997. When I have clients that are upset because their daughter/son is not completing school, I just tell them that it only took me 30 years!
Workplace
I began with Nationwide in 1975 as an agent in Falls Church VA. I became an independent contractor in 1978. I operated my own agency until retirement in April of 1999. I became a CFP in 1989. I began practicing financial planning after retiring from Nationwide. Today I am a Certified Financial Planner with MetLife of Florida & Georgia. Tremendously enjoy my work.
