Bob's Story
Life:
Currently, as of: 4/24/05, I aquired a place at Rye Beach, NH, where I will be spending most of my time, in both Summer and Winter. I can throw a stone and hit the beach or . . . a Life Guard. Our main residence is in Goffstown, NH.
My daughter, Sarah, will be turning 18 soon, and I am amazed it went by so fast. Since my wife, and Sarah's Mom, passed away from Cervical Cancer in 1992, I have raised her alone. She was four when her Mom passed. She turned out great, despite being raised by her Father. I don't know how that happened!
Retirement from Corporate Accounting/CFO fits me perfectly. I enjoy the many interests that I have picked up over the many years, such as: Hunter Seat & Jumping (English Horseback riding); Sailing (Certified at Newport Beach, CA); still doing SCUBA, since 1967; motorboating and fishing, both fresh water & salt.
Figure Skating (former USFSA Member, No. 1191926) with coach and instructer. I practiced 2 hours a day 6-7 days a week for two years. I belonged to the Concord, NH figure skating clob. My home "ice"was the Tri-Town Ice arena Got a mild concussion landing wrong on a jump.
still downhill skiing, since 1962. Former member, National Ski Patrol, Snow Valley, San Bernadino mountains, So. CA;
Wrote TV "on spec" scripts on the side,(never sold a script) while living in Los Angeles & spent much time on the Warner Bros back lot, in Burbank, CA (also known as the Burbank studios because Colombia shares the same back lot Backlot.
play piano & keyboards (have a White Yamaha Baby Grand in our piano & music room; enjoy keeping tanned on the beach during the Summer, or during the Winter, in our tanning bed. we have 6 cats, two dogs and, a West African Ball Phython c...Expand for more
alled "Monty;" my daughter and I enjoy our inground pool, with privicy, as we have a six foot stockade fence surrounding our entire back yard on 2 acres.
My daughter has a super boyfriend and, she/they are doing great. Sarah has a Blue 1994 Camero and, a Blue 1977 Camero she is restoring. She's a great young lady and has a super job for a major concert promoter here in NH, and gets to meet lot's of big names back stage. Needless to say, she LOVES her job! That's an understatement. Chyrl Crow and my daugher hit it off well. She gave my daughter a touring shirt and her guitar pick. My daughter gave me the pick because she knows how much I love Chyrl Crow
Also, it is ovious I never graduated from High School/Narragansett. However, I did get a GED, then put myself through college working a full time job in a shoe factory in Athol, MA, during the day and, a part-time job managing a package store some evenings and weekends, and . . . going to the MWCC nights for courses. Finished up in So. CA, in my dual major of Accounting and Computer Science. At that time, there were no PC's. PCs didn't come ooutuntil 1980. Just mainframes, like the old IBM 1130 dinosour, with core storage.
I guess that about brings me pretty much up to date, here. My years as a "Hippie" living on Beacon Hill in Boston, was fun too, but everyone has to grow up sometimes.
I would love to hear from the "kids" that I hung with in those Narragansett and Athol Days of ours.
