Bob's Story
I began life in Wasco California where I attended Karl F. Clemmons and Palm Avenue elementary schools. I moved to Bakersfield for 6th grade and attended Wingland Elementary. While I never attended Standard Middle School, I did play in the band there. During 7th grade we moved again and I attended Fred L. Thompson Jr. High and West Bakersfield High School. I attended Bakersfield Community College for 2 years and have an AA degree in Fire Technology. I also attended CSU Bakersfield and have a BA in Speech Communication.

work for the Kern County Fire Department. I currently have 32 1/2 years in and am a Battalion Chief. I am looking forward to retirement VERY soon.
In September of 1977 I married my current wife Marty (Taylor) who was a Sacramento native. She teaches HS english at Liberty High.
Marty and I stay very active with my HS reunion committe members and have been getting together for dinner out twice a month since working on the 30th reunion over 5 years ago.
We travel quite a bit during her time off from school. We do some RVing and a LOT of cruises.
