Robert W. (Bob)'s Story

Thanks for caring! I'm pleased to announce that my nonfiction book Soul Snatchers is now available through my publisher, Pine Winds Press. It chronicles my years of research mostly among Native Americans (Seminole, Miccosukee, Chiricahua Apache, Lummi, Kwakiutl, Seneca, Huron, etc.) to uncover the truth behind the legends of what we refer to as Bigfoot. I was amazed to discover how much had been hidden from Anglos and how relevent this information is to real life. It took a long talk with a refugee Tibetan lama whom I met in Moscow to pull it all together. Although I did not intend it to be so, it became quite a spiritual journey. Pine Winds is also offering a Pocket Field Manual soon that will take the reader on a step-by-step journey into the woods to structure and invite their own encounters. On a personal level, there had been a popular disc jockey with whom I shared the name RWM who was also from Ohio. Poor guy died, but in his obituary they gave him my film credits! Nope, I am NOT dead so I opened up my own site under my name plus added the word "alive" to make the distinction. I have spent very little time in Ohio since graduating excepting one period recently when an aged aunt needed some help. Most of my life (excepting the USN shipped me all over the Orient) was spent in Washington DC and Virginia area, Miami, Florida, Los Angeles, Tucson & Phoenix, but now I have come to roost in Whitefish, Montana. I can't count how many times I have criss-crossed the USA and Canada - I am a bum at heart - and have spent months in the former USSR - mostly Moscow, Leningrad, and Tibilisi in the Republic of Georgia. I also have spent bunches of time in London, Liverpool, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Budapest, Marsellies, Venice, Florence, Rome, Athens, Madrid, Avignon, Genoa, Cannes, etc. I think I liked Avignon best. I've never used an organized tour; my travels were either business or pure pleasure. And I tried to take trains in Europe as much as possible. I book First Class if it's an overnighter, but I always hang out in Second Class meeting fun folks. I LOVE to laugh and they usually do too. In the past, I have made appearances with Montel Williams, Bill Smith, Larry King, Tom Snyder, Xzone radio, Art Bell, etc., and have lectured all over the place including KSU, U of Miami, UCLA, etc. My motto is to try to be informative, but never stuffy. As some folks know, after I left a position with the FAA in DC, and needing some time off to myself, I launched The American Yeti Expeditions and my field research was featured in The Smithsonian Series, Monsters: Myth or Mystery, and the film The Search for Bigfoot became the benchmark in its genre. I became interested in the writing and the making of fil...Expand for more
ms and help make Impulse with Bill Shatner, Ruth Roman, Jennifer Bishop and Harold "Oddjob" Sakata. I wrote Mako: The Jaws of Death for Richard Jaeckle, Oddjob, Jennifer Bishop and John Davis Chandler. I also wrote, coproduced, directed and appeared in The Bloodstalkers which became a cult classic horror film. That was with fellow Ohioan Kenny Miller and Celea Ann Cole of Billy Jack. in 1990, I was tapped to write and direct a feature film that was intended to be the first true coproduction between America and the Soviet Union. The Gorbachev Coup cancelled it. However, I became and have remained close friends with the Soviet prima ballerina and actress Galina Belyaeva - look her up on the net. She's as lovely to know as she appears. In between times, I served as Adjutant to PSYWAR activities to Colonel Frank (Watergate) Sturgis in the anti-Castro Cuban group PUND. Frank was assassinated in 1993 and I was the sole non-Cuban to act as a pallbearer and Honor Guard. My 5 years of UC work with the DEA and FBI are the subject of two nonfiction book proposals. One is entitled "Citizen Spy" because I acted alone for the first three years until I gained the help of the federal authorities. It helped uncover the actual method devised by Meyer Lansky to launder drug money offshore for the Mafia. It is co-written with me by my former federal agent "handlers" to keep me honest (smile). The nonfiction work Citizen Spy is contracted to TitleTown Press for publication in late 2010. Wish me luck. The other work is entitled Lies Our Fathers Told Us. It deals mostly with Frank Sturgis' struggles to free Cuba from the Castro brothers. I acted as his aide de camp at our guerilla training camp in the Everglades and accompanied him in a few of his adventures. 'Nuff said about that ... Life has offered me one adventure after another and I have no time to waste; every heartbeat is a gift and I use 'em. What's next? I have finished a new screenplay as a sequel to my old horror film, Bloodstalkers. Why? I sold and autographed no less than 187 DVDs in the past 12 months to a 30 year-old film. WOW! Guess who will (again) be playing the "bad guy." Heh, heh, heh. Also, and because I recently optioned another of my major works to a known filmmaker, I have been joined by some major talents to form a fresh production company - you can easily find the Talisman Media Group LLC (be sure to add LLC) over the net and check us out. I am so lucky to have such friends. I can also be found by by typrng in my name as robert w morgan - alive dot but without spaces. Why Classmates doesn't allow this I don't know .... I would love to hear from anyone I knew or should have known. And I wish you all lots of laughs and love. RWM
