Bob's Story
Life
Left Butte, and went to MSU. Went to USMA at West Point, spent time back in Butte before Army duty in Oklahoma, Europe, Georgia, and Washington.
Worked for the government and then a private company in the Seattle area. After Y2K, came to California where I worked in Semiconductors and then the Energy Industry.
Living happily in the hot climes of southern California, where I met Tanna who I married in June 2005 and honeymooned in Hawaii. We love Maui and want to retire there.
School
Charlie Merrifield was the biggest influence on me in high school. I got something out of my calculus class, but it was his role as a coach where he put me in a position where I could succeed that gave me confidence in myself. I grew up a lot in high school because of the way that Charlie dealt with me. Who would have thought that I would end up lettering at both MSU and West Point?
Sharon Tretheway who I dated, Sue Weingartner who I didn't date and Toni Tompkins who I never thought I had a chance to date were my biggest crushes. Pam Henderson is someone who I regret not spending more time with. Sally Staples was the best kisser who attended West Jr. High School. My wife reminds me a little of Cindy Givogre who I always thought was the nicest girl I knew, but she was involved with someone else through high school. My favorite person who wasn't part of Class of '75 was Jolene Kaighn; she had a really deep, sexy laugh. I was desperately in love with someone who lived outside of Butte, but distance and the infrequency of seeing each other made it impossible to maintain that relationship.
...and then there was that Central girl.
Best friends were Honeychurch from 4th grade on, and all the OSS guys, especially Neuhardt, Gary, Hughesie and Walund. Craziest things I did in high school were usually associated with my yellow volkswagon. Margie Young had a near death experience one night in the Highlands (Sorry!). But then again it was a different car that I drove off a cliff that I had to explain to Jolene's mom and dad one night.

weekend events. We're lucky we survived high school.
College
MSU was Sig Ep fraternity stuff, varsity track, skiing and dating. School was in there too, when I had the time. Dawn Blobaum was my first college date. Kelly McQuirk was the swiftest relationship. Bonnie and Joanne were the best women I met in college. Bonnie married George, and I hope lived happily ever after.
At West Point it was being a cadet 24/7. I was in love with a girl back home, but that relationship is doomed the longer a cadet is at the academy. I dated a couple of times in New York, but those were....New York flings. Why would someone have the first name "Antigone"?
I-Beam, Quit the Corps and join I-4.
Who'd thought I'd end up in OCS a year later after being an artillery gun bunny at Fort Sill?
