Bob & Maria's Story
Life
Living in Yorba Linda, Ca. Married 52 years, two grown children. 3 grandsons, 20, 18, 12 & 1 granddaughter 10. Retired in 1996, Maria is still working hard. Someone in this family has to work. I'm accustomed to a certain standard of living, and right now, these standards are not being met. I suggested that Maria get a second job. After all, she is home from 6PM to 6AM, how much time does it take to put a meal on the table? She still has a lot of productive hours being wasted. It's not like she needs a great deal of sleep. She doesn't even work at all on Saturdays or Sundays. What's with that? I got her two job interviews, 1) a greeter at WallMart and 2) pushing a broom behind the horses going down main Street at Disneyland. She didn't even bother to show up at either of them. At the very least I figure she could be flipping burgers at Wendy's. They ARE open late. By the way,, I'm still recovering from my bumps and bruises. Update: Maria retired in 2016.
I always wanted to be a Policeman when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were probably right.

up.
My hero and inspirational leader was my Dad. He taught me how to be a man, a husband, a father, and a grandfather. He passed in 2005 and I miss him everyday.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Bob Howard, because he was a very good and loyal friend.
1 Toy Poodles named Bailey. Just put another Toy Poodle named Madison down after 17 1/2 years. What else would I name her? Love baseball & football. Going to every baseball stadium, 1 or 2 a year. 10 more to go. Not bad out of 30.
If I won $100 million, I'd give $20 million of it to each of my two kids, then spend the rest on Vacation homes, Traveling the world and investments. When I was 12, I thought that people over the age of 60 would be feeling old and useless. I was so completely wrong.
The one do-over I would do, is sign my baseball contract with the Padres in '68. Things worked out for the best, but would still like to know, what if? Currently working as a tour guide at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, Ca. It's great talking to guests about all the things we lived through and the history of the White House.
One sad note to add: Maria passed away March 19,2023 after over 52 years of marriage from cancer.
