I have a wonderful husband that I have been married to for almost 23 years. We have 3 kids. Really they are all almost adults. A daughter Jaclyn who is 19, started her college career (now wants to teach early childhood education) and is working in a day care center with an autistic child, she loves it; a son Jordan who is 20, a member of the US Marine Corps who is currently serving in Japan, coming back to the US in January 2009; and a son James who is 22, a member of the Wisconsin Army National Guard who served a year over in Iraq (soon to be redeployed in January 2009), and graduated from college in December 2008 in the Law Enforcement Program just before his deployment; and Ron, my husband, works for Coca-Cola Enterprises in Wrightstown, WI; and myself, who works for Riesterer & Schnell (a John Deere Dealer). We have lived in Appleton, Wisconsin for about 19 years. It's nice up here, but it stays way too cold way too long. I would never have thought that I would be a mom with 2 sons in ...Expand for more
the military actually fighting a war in another country. I am so appreciative of all the support that we are shown and the people that have been praying for the safety of our sons and for the peace that only God can give while our sons are in the military. Thank you to all of you. We (as a family) also volunteer a week out of the year for a Christian organization called Life Promotions. We work in Security at Lifest (a 5 day Christian Music Festival in Oshkosh, WI in July) and for Power of One (a one day Christian Concert in Green Bay, WI in November). We have been doing this for 6 years now. I am a Director of Lead Response/Security. You should come and join us sometime. We attend Appleton Community Evangelical Free Church in Appleton, WI. We have been there for about 16 years now. We enjoy our church family and don't know what we would have done without them, as they have been very supportive through alot of events in our lives (military, our barn burning down, doing foster care, loss of jobs).
