Bobbi's Story
Hi everyone! Can you believe how fast time is flying past us? It's already the summer of 2009!
After high school, I went on to become a special education teacher, working in Silverton and Salem. Currently I am a testing specialist for Salem-Keizer, working to help identify students with learning difficulities, by administering academic and IQ tests. I am responsible for the testing that goes on in at least 12 area schools (and more when you count in the private schools and alternative schools in my area).
I am married to an upper classmate, Bill Cardiff. We will celebrate 27 years of marriage in August. Both of our families still live in Roseburg, so that means we get down there fairly frequently.
We have a 16 year old son who is very much an out- door person. He has followed in my footsteps when it comes to loving the country life! Kerry is involved in 4-H livestock... which of course means that I am still very much a part of 4-H and the fairs that are attached to it. I've also been known to play a bit of paintball with my son, his friends and a few other parents that don't mind a bruise or two! ng me to have a myspace page and a facebook page(so be my "friend" if you have a page also)!
As a family, we enjoy camping, boating and riding our quads. We frequently visit the coast for some crabbing, or just to hang out. Hunting and fishing is something that I enjoy, simply for the scenery... I never tell them if I see a deer until it is too late! And of course, I still enjoy riding horses when I get a chance! Our travels have mostly involved the northwest and Canada, although someday I think New Zealand, Austrilia and Alaska would be fun to visit!
We love living on our 5 acres south of Salem with our very large dog, way too many cats, a few chickens and the deer that enjoy munching on my garden every chance they get! Last winter we even had a couger up on the wooded part of our property and, of course, we can hear the coyotes singing at night! I am still very much a country girl and shudder at the thought of living in town/city for any length of time. I love the simple life!
I hope to hear from those of you that remember me.. even though I am sure most of you have moved on to grandkids and rocking chairs by now! That, I hope, won't be in my future for several years yet!
