Bobbie's Story

Hi Everyone! Let's see... I met my future husband at Rose Festival the weekend of graduation in June 1985. He was my tour guide for his Navy battleship. Ha! I brought him to the PHS graduation. As many of you might remember I didn't walk with you guys that day. (I actually received my diploma a few months later...) That was a major BUMMER because I was going to be one of the multiple Valedictorians that year... But funny how that doesn't matter so much nowadays! I (like an idiot) turned down 2 full-ride college scholarships and moved to California in the summer of 1985. My husband and I were married by the end of that year. We had FIVE beautiful children (4 boys and 1 girl) at the rate of one every TWO YEARS. He would go out to sea and come home. We were bored and didn't have cable back then... HA! We lived on both coasts and then moved back here to Washington State in the late 1990's. I home school all 5 of our kids from late 1980's up until a few years ago. That was A LOT of fun! I turned out to be just as "unique" of an adult as I was as a teenager. I was a "natural mother" who was into breastfeeding, homeschooling, whole foods, Birkenstock shoes, etc. etc. :-) But I really love being a Mom and all things connected with kids. After I separated from my husband I FINALLY started going to college. I want to either become an elementary school teacher (hey, do what I know right?) or a speech-language pathologist (speech therapist). I'm still plugging away at college (and getting straight A's mind you!) This year I also had to get my first REAL <PAYING> JOB. I had be...Expand for more
en a stay at home mother for 22 years. I do love working because I love people so much. I still am the same friendly, active, silly girl that you might remember. You guys voted me "Class Clown" and not much has changed since then! :-) Currently, my life centers around my children (the youngest 3 are still at home), my family & friends, my church, and my job. I still SING quite a bit and am on my church's praise & worship team. Interestingly enough, I was a varsity cheerleader and my only daughter's #1 love is being a football cheerleader! (I'm still involved with cheerleading, often as a coach now!) My kids don't like to sing in public like I did/do though... go figure. But my whole family is a bunch of EXTROVERTS and they are pretty much all Lil' Me's. Ha! The nuts didn't fall far from the tree personality wise! They truly are sweet kids though. Lots of fun to be around. I still come down to the area a lot. Maybe we could have tea (I don't drink coffee) sometime. Hope everyone is living a blessed life too! Sincerely, Bobbie Davis Q: How do I hope old friends remember me? A: As a girl who loved people and had a lot of fun in high school. I always wanted to be a Mommy when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a natural idea. As it turns out, they were right!. Listening to L-O-U-D Christian Praise & Worship or Christian R&B music! Q: What's the wildest thing you ever did in school? A: WOW! So many choices.... Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. What's been your biggest surprise? A: After 23 years of marriage, finding myself separated :-(
