Hello, I am now married with two great sons, two daughters-in-law, and two Grandchildren. Most people didn't know that I was Bi-polar during my school years and left early, to be educated, further. I traveled to France, many times and saw many countries in my lifetime. I have written one book, entitled A Place of my Own, A Sacred Space Called Home. This was published years ago. I study Metaphysics and Ancient History as my hobby. I am an avid gardener, adventurer, and just came back from another trip to Hawaii, where we snorkeled, surfed, helicoper ride around the Islands, and took a submarine ride. I took underwater pics that can be found on my facebook pages. My husband and I own a business and my husband John is also an inventor. I am healthy now but must take meds for the rest of my life for the bi-polar brain. It's not exactly how it is portrayed in the movies, but I am an advocate for getting people more familiar with Bi-polar disease. I really don't remember much about Plano, but I'm sure you all are a great bunch of people and I hope you are all doing very well. I do wish to educate people about mental illness, as my mother suffered and too many people are ashamed of this disease. It may take some time to diagnose, and the highs and lows are nearly unbearable! When finally being put on life saving medications, a person can live a normal life for the first time. People need not be afraid of those who suffer. Understanding, and compassion, is needed, in order for many to recieve help. Some signs are as follows; Rage, erratic behavior, unable to concentrate, especially under stress, and disfunctional relationships, many times with memory loss. Self medication is common, such as drug use, or drinking alcohol. Thankfully, I did not die of suicide attempts. Unfortunately, many do before getting help. The pain that comes from such lows or the depression after the so called 'Highs' is so great, that even the body is in terrible pain. Bi-polar disease is also know as Manic Depression.
