Bobby's Story
Life
My wife & my son.
My Pets
I have a male cat named Murray, and I inherited two female cats, Hope & Joy when I met my wife. We later added a basset hound named Grace.
My Job
Got tired or outsourcing and layoffs. Been tying my hand at teaching going on three years now.
School
I won't mention who my biggest crushes were. Some of them know and others, well it is best to let sleeping dogs lie.
My favorit teacher was Joe Maier. He was great, made me love math. My least favorite teacher was one I didn't have, Ann Goforth. Ironic that when I left industry to start teaching she would be the person I would replace.
All in all I would do HS school again if I could because it was a good time of my life. Things were still safe, and I had a good core group of friends. The only thing I would change is I would have asked a few more girls out.
College

ruggled academically after being a star in HS. Took two years to find a roomie I could stand. Would I do it over? Only if I could not take the tests and party more.
Workplace
Spent three years testing pharmaceuticals in a lab in Wilmington, NC. My starting salary in 1988 was $18K (and only that high because I worked 2nd shift). Left that because I wasn't ready for grad school and no room to advance without a degree.
Spent 8 years in a plastics factory in Warrenton, NC. Stayed longer than I should have because I got comfortable. Place eventually went belly up due to imports so I move to South Boston, VA to do the same thing for 1 year until the same thing happened again.
Moved back home to work in dye plant for 4 years. Again same story. Imports and mismanagement drove it into the toilet.
After all this I decided to try my hand at teaching HS science. Been at it since the 2004-05 school year.
