Bobby's Story
Workplace
I began work at the Sullivan County Sheriff's office in 1986 in the jail. I spent 2 1/2 years in the jail before going to patrol where I stayed for 5 years and have been a detective since then. I currently do Child Abuse Investiagtions and have the rank of Lieutenant. I have been recognized as Detective of the year in 1999 and 2001. I have also received the Optomist Club Respect For Law Award. I was recognized by the Children's Advocacy Coucil as the Professional Of the Year for 2003 and received the...Expand for more
Children's Advocacy Center's Blue Ribbon Award in 2008 for my work with abused children. In February 2009 I was promoted to supervisor over Criminal Investigations. When this happened the Children's Advocacy Center gave me a reception and brought all of my family in from North Carolina without me knowing and presented me with a plaque for working Child Abuse cases for more than ten years. They then honored me by naming the Children's Interview Room after me. This was greatest honor I have received in my career.
