Bonnie's Story
Life
Right now, I'm working as a freelance medical editor. I'm getting a master's degree in Medical Humanities (MMH) from Drew University and am trying to buckle down and write my thesis, which will explore knitting and healing in the context of Medical Humanities.
In short, I'm a right-brained person in a left-brained world. And I'm short too.
I taught desktop publishing at a local college for 9 years.
My passion, as always, has been creative pursuits. Sometimes I'm a sustitute organist. I'm still an avid knitter (big surprise). Although arthritis has limited what I'm able to do regularly, as well as my stamina, I have a very full life. I laugh a lot. I read a lot. I am very insterested in spirituality and the body/mind/...Expand for more
spirit connection. I started a prayer and healing ministry several years ago.
I'm "mommy" to many feathered children: cockatiels, budgies, lovebirds, and doves. I have 10 nieces and nephews.
When I finish my master's degree, I may either continue for a doctorate or become a deacon in the Episcopal Church and focus on healing or chaplaincy.
Life is an unending spiritual journey.
My current age is 56. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old farts. I was so completely idiotic.
Still bohemian, never one for buttoned-down office attire, suits, conservative dress. I like flowing, feminine, colorful, artistic clothes. the more purple, the better.
I share my home with my birds, which I find very satisfying.
