Bonnie's Story
Hey guys!
After a lengthy and controlling marriage, I've woken up and re-discovered myself and am re-connecting with friends and even family that I was separated from. This is great being me again!
I have 2 great daughters, 8 and 15, who are amazing and love Irish Step Dance (We travel a lot to competitions throughout the U.S., Ireland and Scotland, and have a blast!), basketball and soccer. I really enjoy traveling and even day/weekend road trips!
I just joined XSport in St. Charles and had a great session with my trainer. I was even able to keep up with her! Loved it and will spend much time there when kids are with the ex.
I own my own law firm in South Elgin.
It's listed under Bonnie L. Thompson, to be legally changed to Bonnie MacKenzie, Attorney at Law, when my name change is completed. No, I'm not going back to maiden name of Harris, been there, done that! I'm on to my Scottish clan name of my grandmother, which reflects my Scottish heritage!

she decided to retire and is planning on moving to Arizona. Lucky! She's terrific and a great friend, too! I've represented some former classmates with Real Estate deals, adoptions and divorces. It's all good!
Meeting for coffee or fun in the evening is now an option, too, since I'm not on demand to have the formal dinner on the table every night at 6! I think I'm having too much fun and definately should have done this much sooner!
Just signed up for this Classmates, so I haven't figured out the proceedure yet, but however we are supposed to contact each other, please do so!!
**UPDATE** Sept, 2011: Have actually been "Bonnie MacKenzie" for a couple of years and am LOVING IT !
My daughter an I have a neat home in Geneva and love being proud Geneva Vikings! We are a girls' basketball family, Geneva Feeders and Lady Lightning in Lombard. Who knew this was a year round sport?! Getting the girls ready early for high school basketball, I guess! And, this is just the beginning of middle school... Feel free to visit me on Facebook, too!
