Bonnie's Story
Life
After graduation I attended Oregon State where I majored in International Business and minored in Spanish. I spent my last term of college in Spain and fell in love with the country, so I stayed and worked/studied for about a year. I came back to the US in 2002 and worked at a publishing house then a nonprofit clinic Nashville. I headed back to Madrid in the fall of 2005 to finish my masters in Hispanic Linguistics/Literature through Middlebury College, and after graduating took a job with the Spanish Ministry of Education and Scienc...Expand for more
e teaching in a bilingual school. I have loved my time overseas and feel very fulfilled both personally and professionally. I travel as much as I can and have met the most brilliant, spontaneous and non-conventional people who have made a deep and lasting impression on my life. I am currently applying for PhD programs in Hispanic Linguistics/Applied Linguistics and plan to return to the US to begin doctoral program in the fall of 2008. I'm a perpetual student, and the plan is to actually start "working" right around my 34th birthday. ;)
