Bonnie's Story
Life
I have been involved with Education since I graduated from AU. I taught Pre-K for 16 years and 4 years ago I was promoted to an Education and Disabilities Specialist. Three years ago I was part of a team of educators who wrote a book about how our Child Development Program has adapted The Reggio Emilia Approach. Further,it shares our experiences, and shows the connection to learning outcomes. Even though our program and I have been studying and implementing the approach for several years, this past year I had the opportunity to travel to Reggio Emilia, Italy to study the Reggio Emilia Approach in it's original context. iginated. In addition, I am an adjunct faculty member at a local college where I teach Child Development classes in the evenings or on the weekend. I have spent most of my free time over the last 21 years attending my sons sports events. Football is my absolute favorite. My son is now in college studying Radiology. I tend to be rather busy most of the time, but I'm learning to slow down. However, two years ago we adopted a new puppy who I have spent a lot of time training, she is a handful. Now she is growing up and is a little better. She reminds me of Marley from Marley and me. We also have an older dog who is now a senior, and who has spent the last 2 years teaching the puppy valuable lessons. They get along great!
