Bonnie's Story
Life
There is a saying down in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, "Mi Casa Es Su Casa" (My home is your home) but now I have taken that saying up to Canada with me. In March 2008, after 33 years of pastoring the Mercedes Christian Church we have moved to a small town called Riverton - North of Winnipeg, in Canada to Pastor a small Evangelical Mennonite Church, part time. We are now going to become Winter Texans or as some say "Snow Birds". (Dec.-Feb. or March)

to see 5 of my grand children almost every day. We used to see them once a year in the past. What a change. I love it.
Since moving up here I've gained 20 lbs! What a shock! Afternoon visits with our new friends always calls for a "Fasba" ( a snack of home made goodies). We also meet with a Sr. group twice a month at the church - singing, having Bible study, playing games we had never played before and of course, eating "Fasba"!
You know, getting old is not too bad after all - at least most of the time.
