Bob's Story
Went to Auburn and majored in Teacher Education. Returned to Atlanta and taught band, history and coached basketball, football & baseball at Bass HS & The Lovett School for total of six years. Became Director of Admissions at Atlanta Baptist College (now Mercer-Atlanta) for two years and then returned to Auburn to earn the doctorate in Education Leadership (Administration). Married Bootsie Kendrick of Columbus HS, and remained at Auburn as professor for 10 years. Left Auburn for Dallas, Texas where I was Dean of School of Ed...Expand for more
ucation at Dallas Baptist University. Left higher education in '85 to become headmaster of private schools in Houston, Baton Rouge and Orlando. Gained national recognition as Private School President and elected by peers to the Board of the National Assn. of Independent Schools. After leaving the private school business, returned to consulting and Education Leadership professorship at Gardner-Webb University in NC. Married 39 years, 3 boys, one girl, two grandsons. Still active with teaching, church, travel, golf and weddings.
