John's Story
After graduating from FLHS in 1976, I attended Florida State University. I graduated with a BS degree in Criminology in 1981. I moved to Sweden in 1986, got married, and studied Swedish and Social Science. My son was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1988. I worked for the Swedish Department of Corrections. We relocated back to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1991 where I have been employed with the Florida Department of Corrections as a state probation officer. igh school basketball player and a Division I college prospect. He received letters from top schools such as Cornell and Colgate. He graduated from college in 2011 with a double major in marketing and management. I divorced in 2001 and plan to retire in 2020 (age 62) with a full state employee pension. I will continue to live life everyday to the fullest. My hobbies and interests include: weight training, travel, going to concerts, playing guitar and bass, and spending time with my son.
