Life"
Living overseas for the last 17 years including South America, Carribean, England , Scotland , and I have now been living in Beijing China for the past 7 years. Although my mandarin is struggling I can order a beer and get by. Life in a staunch communist country lets you appreciate the good ol USA but it is also interesting to watch as China bursts onto the world scene - lots of changes going on here that will affect the global market and our world as we know it as there is 1.4 billion people here on the move and you cant ignore it. I feel fortunate at times to be right in the middle of some of the politics and big picture evolution of their culture. Still times when we miss the good old US and walking your dog on a leash instead of being served one at a resturant for dinner. am doing well. I stopped to reflect on the old high school gang when somebody made contact with me and a few life events have reminded me how good those times where and a special place FHS was in the early 1980's - the world was pretty simple and we had it pretty good in a safe fun environment to grow up in.
Update : Finally back living in Good Old USA although still go back and forth to Europe with an apartment in Scotland. Life still cranking along fun and diverse; wife , kid, dog, weedeater, lawnmower the essentials. Lots of travel with work to interesting and far off places, although fun, find myself starting to get more interested in frequent flyers miles than destinations so probably traveling too much. Reflecting more, starting to look up old friends. Anybody who remembers the day, drop me a line and let me know what your up too.
