Brad's Story
Life
Greetings, Class of Â82! Currently a resident of Boston, MA, I am enjoying city life in a 135 year-old brownstone. Living in the surroundings of Paul Revere and the American Revolution, each day is a learning experience. Contrary to popular belief, not everyone from the East Coast is obnoxious, most have a heavy accent, but thatÂs about it. What drew me to New England? Well, after Arizona State University, I have pursued a career with Marriott Hotels, Resorts & Suites. While developing the International Markets for two Mobil Five-Star resorts, I traveled extensively between coasts and Latin America. In all my travels, I found the metropolitan cities of the Northeast the most appealing. After growing tired of the eight months a year of over 100 degree temperatures in Scottsdale, Marriott relocated me to Boston. I spent a total of 14 years in Arizona; I miss my friends and the environs, but not the harsh climate. As a Senior Event Manager, I now coordinate events for d...Expand for more
omestic & international Fortune 100 companies. Spending the fall, winter and spring in the city is incredible, however, those three seasons are surpassed by summers on Cape Cod. Having grown up in the land-locked states of South Dakota and Wyoming, I really never understood peoples attraction to water. Subsequent to four years of residence, I cannot imagine living anywhere else. The accessibility to Europe and Africa, New York, the Caribbean and Nova Scotia are just a few of the advantages of living here. I havenÂt been back to Rawlins since graduation, my mother moved to Denver when I left for the Sonora Desert, so I never felt the need. Not that I didnÂt want to go back, as a matter of fact, I much preferred high school over college. My classmates & instructors, classes and activities in Rawlins exceeded ASU. ThatÂs the last 18 years in a nutshell. Feel free to email me, as I would be interested in catching up with any of the individuals with whom I went to school.
