Brad's Story
WFHS and MSU were great - no doubt about that. I sometimes wish I could go back to those days. Great friends - Symank, Christoff, Kuehler, Martinez, Costello, what's not to love? Playing baseball was as stressful as it got!
Shortly after graduating from MSU in 1993, I got married to a wonderful woman, Mitzie (Lovell), and we just celebrated our 15 year anniversary.
1993 - I moved to Portales, NM, where she was finishing her Masters at ENMU. I was unemployed for a couple of months (very depressed economy) and "landed" a job with SW Cannery - my first assignment (with a degree) was at a Coke bottling plant - I was tasked with emptying expired Coke products into a drain so the plastic and aluminum could be recycled. Livin' the dream.
1995 - Mitzie finished her degree and we moved to Lincoln, NE, for her new position with University of Nebraska - I worked for the Lincoln Police Department. After having 2 kids (Brady, now 13 and Ellie, now 10) we decided we were too far from home and moved back to Burkburnett, TX.
1998 - On ...Expand for more
returning to TX, I went back to work for Falls Distributing (Budweiser) and Mitzie for our Alma Mater (MSU). Life was good and brought some change. I went into security sales and Mitzie to a stay at home mom.
2003 - Wanting more of a career, I took a position with Wheelock, Inc. as a manufacturer's representative for Fire Alarm products (think Tommy Boy). This position had me traveling weekly all over Texas and Louisiana. Great position and benefits.
2006 - I was promoted to Eastern Division Manager for Cooper Notification (Wheelock was acquired by Cooper Industries) and given the opportunity to move anywhere on the Eastern ½ of the USA - we researched and picked a suburb of Raleigh, NC.
Present day - life has been good to me. If you read all this way, congrats, I was rambling (not bad, I used only 2060 characters of 20000 allotted). If you want to get in touch and are too cheap to pay for the membership like I am, google "Cooper Wheelock" and click on contact us / sales team. Look forward to hearing from you.
