Brad's Story
I joined classmates.com in order to let people know about my FREE Pullman High School web site. PullmanHigh.com I will be launching it soon and will try to send one email to all PHS classmates to let them know about is (since one email doesn't violate classmates.com's terms of service).
K, skip the boring parts below 'kay?
Since high school (Help! Almost 30 years ago?!): I attended Ricks College (a small church-run college in SE Idaho, now called BYU-Idaho byui.edu) in Rexburg, Idaho for a year.
Then I enjoyed serving an exotic and somewhat dangerous mission for my church amongst the wild aboriginal tribes of Indianapolis Indiana USA (mission.net/indiana/indianapolis/).
After that I got the strange notion of going into TV News (heck Dan Rather was getting 7 figures a year so that sounded good to me!) and I got a BA in Communications - Broadcasting with a minor in History at Washington State University (wsu.edu). K, then my internship went well, but, for some weird reason, this dashing young gent, ready ta 'take on the world' couldn't get a job in it - sniff!
I switched majors and got a BA in Elementary Education with a minor in Language Arts in a couple o' years also at Washington State University. So then I tried hard to make teaching 5th Grade/Computers work for me but it wasn't a-happenin' (short version: I was good at parts of it but let me tell ya teachin' youngin's is a very involved multi-faceted job and I greatly admire anyone who can do it well (props to my homie good teachers who put up me all those years!). I got married somewhere in here.
K, then since I had always been kind a major nerd/groovy geek I self taught and went into the computer side of things and worked at a dinky newspaper in the suburbs of Salt Lake City for six months.
Then I got a job at smidge less dinky newspaper in Orem, Utah for ano...Expand for more
ther six months, got laid off and transferred to another division of the same family-owned business working for a software company, Digital Technology International (dint.com). I started in support, switched back to the newspaper to be webmaster for a few years, then went back to software builds and testing and now I am doing more on the internet side o' things where most of my interest and motivation is.
Oh, almost forgot, got divorced somewhere back in there too (short version is she is a cool person, I tried dang hard and I couldn't be a-makin' it work, and we did get two very 'mazin' kids outta it: son, 15 driver's permit - HELP, daughter 9).
Now I try to do a buncha stuff with my kids, cuz I have them the most, and I am an assistant scoutmaster, and I also try to date and I also do quite a bit o' church stuff.
K, are ya asleep or didya make it here? If ya did, YOU have won a FREE IPhone!!! (freeiphonesandipods.com) and/or I need to be contacting ya cuz I am from somewhere in africa and this really rich person died and they don't have any relatives and they want me to administer their will and ya gots (maybe I do?) a couple o' million dollars coming direct to you if'n I just get all your bank info ;-)
K, seriously though I am lookin' forward to seeing a bunch o' you dang good friends on PullmanHigh.com and learnin' a bit more about ya!!!
* My Faith:
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) mormon.org/mormonorg/eng/ and, though I have had the usual share of disappointments and discouragements in my life, it is my main source of strength and hope in my life.
I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all humankind jesuschrist.lds.org/SonOfGod/eng/ and I am amazed at His constant pure, unconditional, love and owe any good thing or limited success I have had in my life, to Him.
