Brad's Story
Life
I grew up in Montclair, NJ but I 'escaped' to a small, rural, Quaker boarding school in NH for my last 2 years of high school. What a difference that made! I haven't forgotten my urban/suburban roots, but I've found that I'm happier in communities close to rural areas. Madison, Wisconsin isn't a small city by any means but it is a good compromise. I moved to Wisconsin in the fall of '74 to milk cows and have been here ever since. I got my BS in Dairy Science '81, worked in a campus research lab for 18 years, went back to school and got my MBA in '01, and have been back working at the UW-Madison since then in technology transfer and academia-industry relations.
I've been married 25 years and have two daughters, ages 16 and 20. Life is pretty good.
