Bradford's Story

Life Hey everyone...long time no hear or talk, so I thought I would update everyone. It's been a long time since I last "spoke" to anyone on the phone or in person from the class of 1991. We were such an awesome class and we all knew each other, pretty much. I've been living in Colorado Springs for 20 years now...wow, time flies. It's still as beautiful today as it was when I moved here. Pikes Peak is in my backyard every day, and I'm so blessed to live in this city and state. My wife and I will be married 7 years on July 26th, 2015...24 days from this writing. I can't even begin to tell all of you how much I miss all of you. I know most you still live in Visalia, or at least California. I'm hoping to make it out there again soon for a visit. I'm currently on Facebook so if you have a page, look me up I'm always online. I currently work for the El Paso County government in Colorado Springs. It's not bad. Still looking for a way to get into my degree field. In 2011 I received my Master of Science degree in Accounting. My passion. But it's been a struggle finding a way into the field. I've come to the realization that maybe, just maybe, it isn't where God wants me. I know, I know, I'm put God in the mix, but I truly believe He knows everything and knows what's best for us. Whether or not you believe in Him makes no difference to my belief system. I'm sorry to all of you that I wasn't a better friend, when we were in high school. Believe it or not, I had low self-esteem and I didn't think very highly of myself. All the confidence you saw...just a mask (facade). It was hard being the youngest of 3 and growing up without a father. But many of you didn't know that, or maybe you did. I've never really confessed how I felt during my high school years, and now, 24 years later, it probably doesn't matter. I wanted so desperately t...Expand for more
o be accepted by each and everyone of you for who I was, not for who I made myself out to be. Mt. Whitney High School was the greatest time in my life, no joke. I loved high school, and if I could do it all over again, I would. I truly enjoyed it. It's a shame that even now...there are still cliques among us and some people still don't know who other people are in our own graduating class....or maybe they just don't care. Maybe I'm just the weird one who saw us...who sees us as a class that was the greatest class to ever grace the campus of Mt. Whitney High School. Maybe I'm the hopeless optimist who clings desperately to the notion that the class of 1991 still cares about being great. Not as individuals, but as a class. We were a family, and we should have treated each other like we were family. We should have shown respect to each and every individual in our class, as we still should. We should not be any respecter of persons, but be kind and loving to our fellow classmates. We should never be out for ourselves. That's not who we were in high school...yes, I know people change, and times change, but we can still hold the values that we did back then. Don't compromise integrity for gain, wealth, prestige, title, position or whatever. Be the man/woman that brought greatness to the campus of Mt Whitney High School. This world is degrading right before our eyes, and we need each other and we need God to see us through these perilous times. I'm praying for one more reunion in 2016 where we can come together one more time, as the graduating class of 1991. The greatest graduating class ever to step foot on the campus of Mt Whitney High School. I leave you with this one piece of advice...always be humble. No matter how great you are at your career, skill, whatever, always be humble. Humility is where integrity waits to be unleashed.
