After Burrillville, I went to Boston College and graduated from the School of Education in 1970 as a history major. Played freshmen football and freshmen hockey while at BC. I received a masters degree in school administration from Framingham State College in 1977. For over forty years, I have worked in both public and independent education in Massachusetts, Oklahoma, and Maine as a teacher, baseball and football coach, and school administrator - primarily as Director of Athletics. I was the president of the Maine Association of Independent School Athletic Directors from 1991 to 2010. During that time I was also the treasurer, vice-president, and president for the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council, an organization that governs athletic tournament competition for roughly 165 independent schools in New England and eastern New York.
