Brandee's Story

Life Let's see my life? Wow, not so much excitement. Since high school I have moved a few times. All work related. I lived in Michigan for three years. Loved the four seasons, maybe not so much the winter but fall was great. Picked up a husband along the way and headed off to Colorado. Didn't care for the Durango area at all or the husband. Spent a long six months trying to figure a way out. Eventually ended up in Western Washington, just south of Seattle. I lost the husband, which turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. It's true what they say about hindsight, but that's a different story. orldest largest retailer, you guessed it, Wal-Mart! Now before you groan, know it's not that bad. I am a Licensed Optician. That means I peddle eye glasses for a living. It's a great gig and keeps me busy. I have done a lot of wandering but always seem to end back here close to home. My family, most of you know my brother and sister-in-law, still live in Cataldo. Which is a great excuse to visit the home town. It's funny to see what has changed and sad to see what has been lost. Not sure about it though when you take your husband home, show him around, and he says, "We have time to see more." So I took him back through the 4way stop one more time. I'm not really sure if I truly thought about where I wanted to be after high school. I can tell you that I knew I wanted to get away from the Valley. Strange how we spend so much of childhood trying to figure out how to break away from our roots. But yet we spend our later years trying to come up with a plan to take us back.
